Essential Responsibilities:
- Painting and paint preparation, both interior and exterior, including the use of ladders.
- Pressure washing building exteriors, sidewalks.
- Perform clean out and cleaning of spaces such as basement areas and storage rooms. Includes sweeping, shoveling, using a shop-vac, moving debris to a dumpster or trash receptacle. May include some exterior work.
- Assist with dorm work including changing light bulbs, paint touch ups, simple filter changes
- Move materials needed in support of maintenance activities from various locations to where the work is being performed (storeroom to dorm, etc.)
- May perform some organizational work in the storeroom
- Valid Driver's License required.
- Other duties as assigned
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift and manipulate material and tools weighing up to 50 lbs. unaided
- Ability to set up, operate and work off of ladders up to 40 feet or elevated platforms and mobile lifts up to 60 feet.
- Must have the physical ability to climb ladders, operate power and hand equipment, and erect scaffolding.
- Must be able to work with paints, solvents, patching materials and other chemicals of the trade.
